Punk’s Not Dead performance. Since the rise of the punk movement in the mid-70s, there has been a variety of manifestations and subgenres that has built a rich vocabulary of bodily expressions, manifestations and identities that act against dominant norms. This is the starting point for this dance exploration around non-fixed sexualities, unpredictable identities and non-conformative choreographic tools. This work does not present a stereotypical image of punk, but allows the participants to deepen in new ways of listening and feeling. What is a concert experience that explores other ways of listening besides aesthetic hierarchies and moral reformulations? Another path that follows other rhythms, it’s own routines, it’s own fantasies. That is able to ’listen’ to the body in opposition and does not want to follow trends in a world that asks whether punk is dead or not, and counts likes.
A performance without chairs, a concert feeling, a choreographic experiment, a conversation. A work with four performers on stage which dives into different bodily atmospheres.
This is the first phase of the project that will continue in 2020.

Sedan punkrörelsens framväxt i mitten av 70-talet har det funnits en mångfald manifestationer och subgener som har byggt ett rikt vokabulär av kroppsliga uttryck, manifestationer och identiteter som agerar mot dominanta normer. Detta är utgångspunkt för detta dansutforskande kring icke-fixerade sexualititer, oförutsebara identiteter och icke-komformativa koreografiska redskap. Verket presenterar inte en stereotypisk bild av punk, utan låter medverkarna fördjupa nya sätt att lyssna och känna. Vad är en konsertupplevelse som bygger på punkljud och följer annorlunda kroppsliga undersökningar? Som utforskar en annat sätt att lyssna utifrån estetiska hierarkier och moraliska omformuleringar? En annan väg som följer andra rytmer, sina egna rutiner, sina egna fantasier. Att kunna ’lyssna’ i den kropp som är i motstånd och inte vill följa trender i en värld som frågar om punken är död eller inte, och räknar likes.
En föreställning utan sittstolar, en konsertkänsla, ett koreografiskt experiment, ett samtal. Ett verk med fyra medverkande på scen (Josefine Larson Olin, Karina Sarkissova, Maia Means, Nefeli Oikonomou) som dyker ner i olika kroppsliga atmosfärer.
Detta är den första fasen av projektet som kommer att fortsätta vidare under 2020.
