The Cyclops was an autonomous cultural center built by the group Kulturkampanjen and it’s volunteers. The center was opened for activity in the late summer of 2007, but was burned to the ground the 28th of November 2008.

During the past two and a half years Kulturkampanjen has been working towards building another cultural center, with new ideas and new inspiration. Less than a week ago the group was granted a building permission in the Stockholm suburb of Högdalen. (woot!)
Very soon the construction of Stockholms new autonomous cultural center will begin! Soon construction will begin of a space that will question and challange the very limits of the allowed, that will shake this city out of it’s neo-liberal dream as the social and economic divides come crashing to the ground like shackels.
For this project to be a success, Kulturkampanjen needs more members and activists and volunteers. All help is welcome and no previous experience is necessary in order to help with the construction which will begin this summer.
